Privacy Policy
Last updated August 15, 2026 · Applies to capperbots.com, the dashboard, and the CapperBots Discord bot
The short version
- We collect what's needed to run the bot for your server: your Discord and (optional) X account details, the servers you manage, your subscription status, and content you create.
- We never see or store your card number — payments are handled entirely by Stripe.
- Some features send content to Anthropic's Claude AI: flagged message text, betslip screenshots you submit, and your own X posts.
- We don't sell your data and run no advertising or analytics trackers.
- You can disconnect accounts, delete a server's data, or ask us to erase your account entirely.
1.Who we are
CapperBots is a subscription platform that runs a managed Discord bot and a web dashboard for sports-capper communities. It is operated by CapperBots LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("CapperBots", "we", "us"). For any privacy request or question, contact privacy@capperbots.com.
2.What we collect
Account & identity.
- Discord account — your Discord user ID, username, display name, and avatar. When you log in we also read the list of servers where you have "Manage Server" permission, so we can show them in the dashboard. We do not store your Discord login token — it is used during sign-in and discarded.
- X (Twitter) account — if you connect one: your X user ID and handle, plus the access tokens needed to post and read on your behalf for the features you enable. You can disconnect at any time.
- Email address — only if you add one for notifications, stored with a verified flag. Verification codes are short-lived.
Your servers. Server ID, name, icon, time zone, and the configuration you set (channels, roles, automod rules, welcome messages, promos, giveaways, scheduled posts); role changes and membership counts needed for role logging and giveaways.
Payments. Your plan tier, status, and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers. We never receive, see, or store your card number, CVC, or bank details — Stripe collects those directly on its own checkout page.
Content & moderation data.
- Images you upload (bot avatars, promo graphics) and the text of promos, posts, welcome messages, and giveaways.
- When automod warns or bans a member, we store a record including the text of the flagged message (truncated), the member's username and ID, and the reason, so your server's staff can review or overturn the action.
- If members submit betslip screenshots for tracking, we process the image and store the extracted picks, sportsbook, odds, and a link to the Discord attachment.
Technical & usage data. First-party activity logs of dashboard and bot actions (for support, abuse prevention, and product analytics we run ourselves), and standard web-server logs containing IP address and browser user-agent, retained about 14 days. IPs used for rate limiting live only in a short-lived cache.
3.How we use your information
- Provide the service — run the bot, power the dashboard, deliver posts and promos, moderate, run giveaways, track betslips.
- Billing — manage subscriptions, trials, and tier access through Stripe.
- Communication — verify your email and send service-related notices.
- Posting on your behalf — publish picks to Discord and, if connected, to your X account, using the features you turn on.
- Safety — prevent abuse, rate-limit, and debug problems.
- Improvement — understand feature usage via our own first-party logs, not third-party trackers.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4.AI processing
Some features use an AI model provided by Anthropic (Claude) as a processor. When you use these features, the following content is sent to Anthropic to generate a result:
- Automod spam check — the flagged message text and the author's recent messages plus metadata; returns a spam-confidence score used to warn or ban.
- Betslip scanner — the betslip screenshot a member submits; returns the extracted picks.
- Voice analysis — up to ~200 of your own recent X posts (only if you connect X and use the feature); returns a private writing-style summary.
- Post drafting — your style summary plus the play details you type; returns a drafted post.
Anthropic processes this content to return a result and, per its terms, does not use data submitted through its API to train its models. We use no other AI providers.
7.How long we keep data
- Server & account configuration — while your account is active, until you delete it.
- Activity logs and role-change logs — up to 90 days.
- Unused uploaded images — deleted about 30 days after they stop being referenced.
- Web-server logs (IP, user-agent) — about 14 days.
- Email verification codes — minutes.
Some records — such as moderation logs and account details — are kept until you delete the relevant server or ask us to erase your account (section 8).
8.Your choices & deletion
- Disconnect an account — remove your connected X or Discord account from the dashboard, which deletes the stored tokens and related profile.
- Remove your email — delete the email on file from account settings.
- Delete a server's data — a server owner can delete the server from the dashboard.
- Erase your account — email privacy@capperbots.com and we will delete your personal information across the platform.
- Access or export — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Self-serve deletion in the dashboard is currently server-scoped and may not remove every record (for example activity logs, cached usernames, and some moderation records), and removing the bot from a server does not delete data by itself. For a complete erasure, email us and we will handle it. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data — we honor these requests regardless of your location.
9.Public server directory
The CapperBots homepage highlights communities that use the platform. If your server is featured, its name, icon, and member count may be displayed publicly. If you'd prefer your server not appear, email privacy@capperbots.com and we'll remove it.
10.Billing, auto-renewal & cancellation
- Subscriptions renew automatically. Paid plans are billed monthly and renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method each renewal.
- Free trials convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- Cancel anytime from the billing portal in your dashboard (or by contacting us). Cancellation stops future renewals; your plan stays active until the end of the current paid period.
- Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and partial periods are not pro-rated — if something went wrong, contact us and we'll try to make it right.
See the Terms of Service for the full subscription terms.
11.Age & responsible gambling
CapperBots is intended only for adults of legal age to participate in sports wagering where they live (18+ or 21+ depending on jurisdiction). It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
CapperBots is a community-management tool. It is not a sportsbook, is not affiliated with FanDuel, DraftKings, or any sportsbook, and nothing it produces is betting or financial advice. Please wager responsibly. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, call 1-800-GAMBLER.
12.Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), sign-in through Discord and X OAuth (we never handle or store passwords), server-side access controls that limit dashboard actions to a server's owner and authorized admins, and rate limiting. Payment card data is handled entirely by Stripe and never reaches our systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and promptly address issues we discover.
13.Changes & contact
We may update this policy as the product changes. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy. Questions or requests: privacy@capperbots.com.
